The concrete boat launch at Salcha River State Recreation Site, the main public access to a river that sees more returning king salmon than any other Tanana tributary and is an excellent Interior grayling fishery. Salmon fishing is open from the mouth to a marker 2.5 miles upstream of the Richardson Highway bridge.
