Ninilchik View State Recreation Site
Ninilchik
The feel
The campground sits on a bluff above Ninilchik Beach at mile 135.7 of the Sterling Highway, with a stairway leading down the bluff to the beach. The forest around the sites is home to bald eagles, squirrels and magpies.
From the bluff the views take in Mt. Iliamna and Mt. Redoubt, along with the village below. It is a small camp with 12 to 14 sites, used for camping, fishing and clamming.
