Grand View RV Park & Cafe

Sheep Mountain

The feel

Grand View RV Park and Cafe sits at the base of the Sheep Mountain Dall Sheep Reserve, at Milepost 109.7 of the Glenn Highway. Views take in the Talkeetna and Chugach ranges and Lion's Head.

The Grand View Cafe is in a hand-crafted log building on site, and it serves home-style breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a full espresso bar, smoothies, beer and wine. The park is quiet, and generators are not allowed.

Mingo says

Aim for the stretch of May 24 to September 14, when the park is open. Eat at the cafe, then use the park as a base for the Matanuska Glacier.
