Chair 5
Girdwood
The feel
Chair 5 has been a Girdwood ski-town fixture since January 23, 1983. It opened on Crow Creek Road, burned to the ground on May 17, 1987, and reopened that October in the old Rosy's Ice Cream Parlor building on Lindblad Avenue, where it still sits.
The room is a restaurant and bar in one, with a blurb that promises post-mountain buzz. The kitchen cooks everything to order from scratch, so food takes a little time. Settle in with a local draft beer and pick from the whiskey wall. On some nights there is live music or karaoke.
