Moose Creek Bluff Trail
The feel
This is a short wooded climb from the Richardson Highway to a rocky bluff above Moose Creek, near North Pole. The views from the bluff are the reward, and the route gains 104 ft over 1.2 miles out and back.
You are unlikely to meet many other people on the way up through the woods. The trail suits families and is kid-friendly, though there are some steep sections and mosquitoes can bother you. The whole outing takes 0.5 to 1 hour.
