Microdot Peak

The feel

Microdot Peak is a small name with a big climb. The trail is relentlessly steep, with sections of off-trail, scrambling and exposure, and it is rugged enough that it should only be attempted by experienced adventurers.

The ridgeline earns every one of its 1,700 feet, and the views of the Talkeetna Mountains are the reward. Wildflowers and wildlife have been reported along the way. It is used for hiking in summer and skiing in winter.

Mingo says

Pick a clear day, because bad weather rules this climb out. Come prepared for inclement weather anyway.
