Aurora Ice Museum

The feel

The Aurora Ice Museum is the world's largest year-round ice environment, built from over 1,000 tons of ice and snow harvested at the resort and completed in 2005. Inside it stays a cool 25 degrees F (-7 C) all year.

After a brief introduction from your guide, the visit is self-guided, so you explore the sculptures and rooms at your own pace.

The tour lasts 45 minutes.

Crowds and best time

A ticket is required and booking in advance is recommended, especially in peak seasons. Tour times shift with the sunset.

Fees and passes

Adults (ages 12 and up) $20, children (ages 6 to 11) $15. An Appletini in an ice glass is a $20 add-on and requires a valid ID.

Minimum age 6.

Hazards

Tours may be modified or cancelled for weather, with rescheduling or a full refund.

Season and access

Open every day, 365 days a year. 17600 Chena Hot Springs Road, at the end of the road about 60 miles from Fairbanks.
