Flat Creek Slough Boat Launch
North Pole
The feel
This is a State Parks improved boat launch in the Chena River Recreation Area, giving access to the upper Chena River. Motorized boats need a shallow-draft jet drive. A large parking area has a loop road leading to the launch, and toilets and loaner life jackets are available. The river is cold and the current is very strong, so wear the loaner life jacket.
