Eshamy Lagoon, creek, and lake

The feel

Eshamy Lagoon, creek and lake sit in western Prince William Sound and are a popular place to target sockeye salmon. Eshamy Lagoon, Coghill Lake and Main Bay are favorite destinations for sport anglers in the area.

The closest access is by boat from Whittier, about 3 hours away. In some years the Alaska Department of Fish and Game operates a weir in the creek, and daily fish passage counts can be found online.
