West Side Loop (Isberg Recreation Area)
The feel
The West Side Loop follows a wide, well-marked trail through forest, past Cripple Creek and a sinkhole. The ground can be washed out in places.
It connects to many other trails in Isberg Recreation Area, so you can vary your route. The whole recreation area is classified as wetlands, and neighborhood residents groom the trail for cross-country skiing in winter. The forest, the wildflowers and the wildlife make it a good loop for kids.
