What it is like
The main summer access into White Mountains NRA, climbing over a small dome, through trees, and up onto Wickersham Dome itself with views of the Alaska Range on clear days. The Summit Trail keeps going well past the dome toward a shelter cabin and the Beaver Creek Wild and Scenic River for backpackers; this record covers the day-hike segment to the dome.
