Blueberry Lake Trail
An easy loop through alpine tundra at Blueberry Lake State Recreation Site in Thompson Pass, 24 miles north of Valdez, known for wild blueberries in season and wide mountain views. Weather anchor is Glennallen, roughly 90 road miles from Thompson Pass over the pass itself, closer than most of this batch but still a real mismatch for a high alpine site prone to its own microclimate.
