Jan Lake

The feel

Jan Lake is a day-use stocked lake right off the Alaska Highway near Tok. A gravel road of 0.25 miles leads to the water, and camping is not allowed. You fish from the bank with light spinning gear or a fly rod, and crowds are moderate. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout, and it falls under the Tanana River Drainage stocked lake rules.

Mile 1353.5 Alaska Highway. Turn east on a gravel road and go 0.25 miles to the lake.

Rainbow trout, stocked and fished May through September. Landlocked salmon are also present.
